Episode VIII starts off action packed and doesn’t let off much from there. Following on from ‘The Force Awakens’, ‘The Last Jedi’ appeals to a broader audience then the originals, and holds just enough new material to not be counted as a remake. Fuelled with sentiment and one-liners, whilst the comedy was appreciated and for the most part well-done, you can’t help but wonder if any movie can just be serious anymore. There’s further moments of drama fuelled with action too prolonged, where you can almost see the measuring tape between hero and antagonist during their pissing contests. Nonetheless, the special effects and cinematography are beautifully done. ‘The Last Jedi’ features a fantastic cast, with a few surprises that will leave fans smiling cheekily, and tonnes of new adorable creatures thrown in. Whilst none of our original questions are really answered, this is a space soap opera fans and those new to the force will love.
